The Hydrochemistry Research Group is dedicated to advancing our understanding of water chemistry and its impact on environmental and human health. Our interdisciplinary team combines expertise in analytical chemistry, environmental science, and geochemistry to address critical challenges in water quality assessment, contamination source identification, and remediation strategies. Our research focuses on three main areas: groundwater quality in agricultural and urban settings, isotope geochemistry for water source tracing, and the fate and transport of contaminants in aquatic ecosystems. We employ state-of-the-art analytical techniques including mass spectrometry, chromatography, and spectroscopy to investigate complex environmental systems. Through collaboration with government agencies, industry partners, and international research institutions, we strive to generate knowledge that informs policy decisions and contributes to sustainable water resource management.
